Concept

Lighting Bag transforms an everyday textile object into a portable light source, combining function, atmosphere and sustainable material research.

Story

The project is connected to the history of Manteco, a textile company rooted in Prato and known for regenerated wool, circular processes and material transformation.

Lighting Bag starts from a simple question: what if a bag could do more than carry objects? The answer is a soft, resistant and daily-use accessory that becomes useful when the sun goes down.

By opening the central zip, a line of small LEDs diffuses a warm light, designed for outdoor moments, evening walks, picnics and informal gatherings.

Material logic

MWool keeps the natural qualities of virgin wool: it is soft, breathable, elastic, resistant to wrinkles, odours, stains, fire and UV rays.

Nylon, zip components and LED strips complete the structure, creating a hybrid object between accessory, lighting device and soft product system.
